Why not sample some Persian cuisine, or even learn how to cook it for yourself? Special Iranian menus will be served during the festival period at three restaurants in Edinburgh, with one of the restaurants, Nawroz, also offering cookery classes. You can also experience the tastes and sights of a traditional Iranian Teahouse inside a nomadic Persian tent. See below for more details on all.  

Iranian Cookery Classes

Learn how to cook traditional Persian food during a 2 hour cookery session at the Nawroz. Enjoy eating the food you have learnt how to prepare at the end of your class.

Nawroz is a Kurdish and Middle Eastern restaurant, which will be serving Iranian cuisine, various kababs
in particular, during the festival period. This restaurant also includes an external shisha lounge, for those who

Papoli Restaurant

Iranian Teahouse

A Cafe/Teahouse, at a nomadic Persian tent, will be serving a variety of teas and a collection of Iranian snacks (mezze) during the festival period. The tent will also include an external shisha lounge. No reservations required. Please visit the venue for more information on their menu. A special event at the Iranian Teahouse includes "Dizi Night" complete with live music by Duo Hyperborea, on Sat 2nd of Feb, after the lecture by Prof. Borbor. Find out more about this event on the Persian Tent page.
